- Masters degree in Industrial Engineering as well as Graduate Certificate in Safety Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh.
- Active Member within the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and National Association of Fire Inspectors (NAFI).

- Installed safety projects with an emphasis on combustible dust mitigation throughout multiple facilities
- Heavily experienced in Capital Planning, Safety Systems, and Facility Maintenance
- Led companywide (coal handling) initiative on combustible dust compliance
- Led companywide (refractory/minerals) initiative on arc flash compliance
- Developed and implemented Preventive Maintenance System for facility
- Implemented automation and controls systems for crushing and grinding facilities
- Conducted process engineering and optimization of conveying and batching systems
- Knowledgeable of furnaces, tunnel kilns, rotary kilns, and other thermal processes
